BREAKING: Temporary Suspension of Detention for True Mother
by Rev. Demian Dunkley
A Korean court has granted a temporary suspension of detention for Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon — the Mother of Peace —effective immediately and valid until 16:00 (KST) on November 7, 2025.
According to the official notice, her residence is restricted to within a designated hospital’s premises, and she may only meet medical staff or registered attorneys. The name of the hospital has been redacted, but it appears to be within the detention center campus itself.
Reports suggest the treatment is related to her eyesight. While it is right that she receive medical care, this decision reflects procedure more than compassion — and it is concerning how long it took for even this limited measure to be approved.
The conditions remain unusually harsh. The order warns that she may still be summoned for interrogation, and that she must not flee or “destroy evidence.” Such restrictions placed on an 82-year-old woman of peace reveal the absurdity of this situation. She is there because she needs care, not surveillance.
Even so, we hope these brief days will allow her to see daylight, breathe fresh air, and feel Heaven’s presence with her.
This is not freedom. But it is a moment of pause — a chance for those with authority to remember her humanity, and for all of us to pray that light continues to break through.
Faith is not a crime. Fear should never be policy.
